Charu, a beautiful and talented young girl who was planning her wedding visited Opal dentistry with some concerns about her smile. She had a deep bite, crowding, gum overgrowth, and gum inflammation, misshaped teeth, yellow teeth. So after an elaborate assessment of her existing dental issues, Our Chief Doctor Dr.Kirubaharan gave her a detailed treatment plan.
We were able to give her a 3D imaging of expected result after treatment. It was done using the Itero scanner. Initially, Scan was taken. Within 48 hours a treatment plan was generated.she was all excited about the final result. We started the treatment with Invisalign to address her deep bite, crowding and alignment related issues. Treatment went on for exactly six months. Throughout the six months, she was comfortable working as the Invisalign was not visible and it didn’t interfere with her social life as well. She wore Invisalign aligners every day for 20 hours. She changes the aligners every week and changes of her teeth alignment was visible from the first month. After finishing Invisalign treatment, we assessed her bite and altered teeth positions. It was really satisfying and gave her the confidence to proceed with the next phase of treatment. We did laser gum recontouring for her and gums were healed in a week’s time. Now comes the most interesting aspect of Smile designing with porcelain veneers. At Opal Dentistry we give a mock-up session for the patient to feel confident and comfortable. With minimal teeth preparation and procedure being painless, she started working from the next day. Dr.Kirubaharan gave temporaries for the time period until we receive the finished product. We received the veneers within 7 working days and it was luted with a high-quality bonding agent and cement.
